The BFG

This is a character page of the BFG i had done recently.

Another Older Piece...

I did this at the beginning of this term.  I did it in water color and added some texture with color pencils.  It is from The BFG where Sophie first spots the BFG in her hometown.

Random Painting Assignment

This is called the "Trogglehumper" after the name of nightmares from The BFG.  I used a random painting to come up with the composition you see before you.  It depicts Sophie being pulled in by the trogglehumper.

Hello, I'm still alive...somewhat

Here is my latest painting from the Roald Dahl story BFG. In this scene, the BFG is racing to the Queen of England to warn her of the 9 other man-eating giants terrorizing the Earth.

Back from Hiatus

Here are some cards I illustrated several months ago.  The first few cards were for my friends graduating from Art Center.  The left side of the image is the cover, and the right side is the inside of the card.

This card below is the father's day card I had made.

An Ode to Ronald Searle

I've recently been exploring Ronald Searle's style for some character designs.

This first one is Dean Martin who plays Sam Harmon in the original Oceans 11 film.  I made a Vegas show-card for him.

These next few are characters redesigned from the movie "Big Fish", only that I changed the setting to modern day Japan.

The Siamese Twins as DJs:

The Circus Ringmaster as a gothic lolita ringmaster:

The Giant as an otaku (anime nerd):

The one-eyed witch as a traditional Japanese fortune teller:

Edward Bloom in his young form (as a farmer boy) and old form (dying old man):

William Bloom as a typical Japanese business man:

Dewey Cox's "Trip"-tionary

This is a book cover I designed that is meant to be from the late 60's when Dewey Cox was on acid.  This trip-tionary is supposed to interpret all the unusual terminologies he uses when trippin'.  I used Peter Max as inspiration.

Seedy Motel

This supposed to be a rundown motel off the outskirts of Vegas.  Enjoy.

Viva Las Vegas!

Here is an illustration of the vegas strip with newly-designed casinos.
The time period is supposedly mid to late 60's.

A Thank You Illustration to My Mentor

Here is an illustration of my mentor Farzad Varahramyan.  I used this for the thank you card I made for him.

Old Work Reworked...

The first one I actually repainted about 90% of it.
The bottom two I touched up the details, value, and saturation.

Haunted Truck Stop

Here is an image based off song lyrics abut the Phantom 309 and Big Joe.  I used a lot of reference from the old episodes of the Twilight Zone (love this show, classic).

Fishes and Friends

This was a somewhat old piece I did for my youngest brother's christmas as a gift.  He loves fish.

This was a gift for both Jackie and Laura for giving ACCD an opportunity to meet and talk with professional artists through the "Picture This" club.  Thank You Jackie and Laura!
